TextAvery ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Avery AI assistant service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Google Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we collect:

Basic profile information: Your name and email address
Google Calendar data: Event titles, dates, and times (read-only access)
Modify your calendar events (e.g. mark tasks complete, reschedule) only at your direct instruction
Authentication tokens: To maintain your session and refresh access when needed

Service Data

To provide our task management service, we collect and store:

Tasks, reminders, and notes you create
WhatsApp messages you send to our service
Your WhatsApp phone number
Your timezone and location preferences
Usage patterns and interaction history with our AI assistant

                      Important: We access and modify your Google Calendar events when you use Avery features like auto-scheduling, rescheduling, or marking tasks done. We will never delete events unless you explicitly request it. We don't share your calendar with anyone else.
                    

How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

Provide personalized task management and reminders
Send you WhatsApp notifications for your tasks and deadlines
Improve our AI assistant's responses based on your preferences
Maintain your account and provide customer support
Ensure service security and prevent abuse

AI and Machine Learning

We do NOT use your data to train generalized AI models. Your Google user data and personal information are:

Used only to provide our specific service to you
Never used to develop, improve, or train general-purpose AI systems
Never shared with third-party AI training datasets
Processed only within our service's specific functionality

Google User Data Policy Compliance

Limited Use of Google User Data:

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Limited use of user data requirement of the Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy (for Workspace APIs) and the Limited use of user data requirement of the Photos API User Data and Developer Policy (for Photos APIs).

Affirmative Statement: We confirm that our use of information received from Google APIs complies with these Limited use of user data requirements.

Specifically, raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs (including Google Calendar) is used exclusively for providing personalized functionality to individual users and is never used to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Data Retention and Deletion

Google User Data

For data obtained through Google APIs:

Authentication tokens: Stored until you revoke access or delete your account
Calendar data: Cached temporarily (24-48 hours) to provide service functionality, then automatically deleted
Profile information: Retained while your account is active

Service Data

Tasks and messages: Retained while your account is active to provide continuous service
Account deletion: All your data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
Inactive accounts: Accounts inactive for 2+ years may be automatically deleted with 30-day notice

Your Rights

You can:

Request a copy of your data by emailing [email protected]
Delete your account and all associated data from our dashboard
Revoke Google Calendar access at any time through your Google Account settings
Opt out of WhatsApp notifications while keeping your account active

AI and Machine Learning

We do NOT use your data to train generalized AI or ML models.

Your Google user data is used only to provide personalized functionality to you
We do not use raw or derived data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models
We do not contribute any user data to shared datasets or third-party AI training platforms

Google User Data Policy Compliance

Limited Use of Google User Data:

We comply with the Limited Use requirements outlined in the Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, as well as the Photos API User Data Policy.

Affirmative Statement: Our use of data from Google APIs adheres to these Limited Use policies. We do not use this data for any purpose other than providing user-facing functionality and do not use it to train or improve general-purpose AI systems.

Data Sharing and Security

We never sell or share your personal data. Your information may only be disclosed:

With your explicit consent
To comply with legal requirements or court orders
To protect our rights or prevent fraud

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure data storage, and regular security audits to protect your information.

Third-Party Services

Our service integrates with:

Google APIs: For authentication and calendar access (covered by Google's privacy policy)
WhatsApp Business API: For sending messages (Meta's privacy policy applies)

International Users

Our service is hosted in the United States. By using our service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the US, which may have different privacy laws than your country.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
